Please join the Chicago Irish Film Festival for a thoughtful evening of film and conversation with Brian O’Brien, Consul General of Ireland-Chicago, as they present I,DOLOURS, and discuss the current status of Brexit and its effect on the current open border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

I,DOLOURS is the story of one woman’s life and death. Born to a Republican family, where generations had served the cause to establish a united Ireland, Dolours Price ultimately became a member of the secret IRA unit known as “The Unknowns” and involved in the deaths of the so-called “Disappeared”.

Based entirely on her accounts of the events as recorded in the controversial Boston Tapes interviews with journalist Ed Moloney.

This is among the most impressive interviews ever immortalised in a feature documentary…. A sentimental part of the brain wonders what this icily intelligent woman could have achieved in different circumstances.
