Professor Luke O’Neill, Trinity College Dublin
Join us on Friday evening November 22 to hear acclaimed author and professor Luke O’Neill discuss the origins and meaning of life (really) and other topics addressed in his 2018 book, Humanology: A Scientist’s Guide to Our Amazing Existence, and his recently published book aimed at kids, The Great Irish Science Book.
Speaker: Luke O’Neill is Professor of Biochemistry in the School of Biochemistry and Immunology at Trinity College Dublin. He received the Royal Irish Academy Gold Medal for Life Sciences in 2012 and the European Federation of Immunology Societies Medal in 2014. Professor O’Neill has founded three successful startups which collectively have raised more than $170M. He also occasionally performs as the front man for Dublin band The Metabollix.
Introduction: Dr. Alan Gaffney, a practicing Intensive Care Physician, Anesthesiologist and ICU Director at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, is the cofounder and Chief Medical Officer of Tell Health Inc. which develops Tell, an advanced Doctor-Patient communications platform for Providers, Healthcare Facilities and Healthcare Systems.
